TeenyWriter helps kids (grades 1–6) practice Chinese diary writing through a four-step loop: voice recording, AI rewriting, handwriting on grid paper, and photo-based grading. Free, no account required, privacy-first.

## How it works

1. **Voice recording**: Kids hold the mic button and talk about their day
2. **AI rewriting**: The app rewrites their words into a grade-appropriate diary entry, preserving their original ideas
3. **Handwriting**: Kids copy the diary onto a real grid notebook, guided by an on-screen template
4. **Photo grading**: Take a photo of the handwritten page; AI gives feedback on the writing

- Free, no ads, no tracking, no account, no subscription
- Offline-first: voice recognition runs entirely on-device (Apple Speech framework)
- Recordings never leave the phone; photos are compressed and stripped of EXIF before cloud processing
- Parent zone protected by a math problem gate
